Honeycomb Seals in turbines are part of the manufacturer’s design strategy to achieve and control proper levels of compression throughout the engines or turbines. Honeycomb is a critical part of these important components that are required in new engines and subsequently are inspected with Standard Practices and replaced per manufacturer's specifications if required due to damage or wear. Our aerospace grade honeycomb segments, rings and core
blankets are made from alloys such as HastX, Inconel, Titanium, Haynes,
Stainless Steels and various other alloys. The cell sizes range from 1/32” – 1/2”.
Core thicknesses range from .050” to 4”, higher thicknesses are also available upon request.
